The Best-Located Suites at The Mountain Club on Loon in Lincoln, New Hampshire

Welcome

An Insider’s Guide to the Best-Located Suites at New Hampshire’s Premier Four-Season Resort

The Mountain Club on Loon is one of New Hampshire’s most beloved resort destinations — a place that feels equally alive in the snow-filled days of January as it does on a golden afternoon in October.
Set directly at the base of Loon Mountain in Lincoln, this is the only true ski-in, ski-out resort in the White Mountains, yet it’s far more than a winter escape.

In spring, hiking trails and waterfalls draw explorers. In summer, gondola rides, biking, and river adventures fill every day with activity. Fall brings some of New England’s most spectacular foliage right to your balcony. And when the snow returns, Loon transforms into a skier’s paradise with perfectly groomed trails and a lively mountain village atmosphere — all right outside your door.

Inside, the Mountain Club offers comfortable condominium-style suites, indoor and outdoor pools, the Viaggio Spa & Health Club, and the popular Black Diamond Pub for slope-side dining and après-ski evenings. Everything — from the parking to the lifts, the spa to the restaurant — is connected under one roof.

This guide was created for guests who want to make the most of their stay by knowing which rooms truly offer the best combination of view, quiet, and convenience.

Most of our choices are on the 10th floor, home to the resort’s most sought-after location — directly connected to the lobby, restaurant, and spa, yet high enough for incredible views (on the riverside) or slope view on the slope side.

While some rooms on the tenth floor overlook the slopes, others face the Pemigewasset River and White Mountains. And the differences between them — in view, quiet, and convenience — can make a big difference in your stay.  If you’re there during ski season, and you want to watch the action, choose slope side.  For the rest of the year (or if you prefer a bit more quiet during ski-season) pick riverside.  Either way you can’t go wrong.  The Mountain Club on Loon is a wonderful destination year round.

Understanding the Room Layouts

Every suite at the Mountain Club is made up of two adjoining rooms that can be rented together or separately:

  • The Bedroom Side (even-numbered rooms, e.g. 1226)
Includes a master bedroom with king bed, full bath, and private balcony.
When rented alone, it’s a comfortable hotel-style room.

  • The Club Side (the next even number, e.g. 1228)
Includes a living room with two Murphy beds, kitchen, dining area, and second full bath.
When rented alone, it’s more like a studio.

Most guests reserve both together as a Suite, which comfortably sleeps six and provides full condo-style amenities.

Room numbering:

  • Odd numbers = Riverside (mountain and river view)

  • Even numbers = Slopeside (ski slope view)

#1 Kinsman Suite (Riverside-Sleeps 10)

The Kinsman Suite is the Mountain Club’s most spacious and luxurious accommodation — ideal for families, couples traveling together, or anyone seeking the full resort experience. Located on the upper floors, it offers panoramic views of the river and the surrounding White Mountains, along with the privacy and comfort of a full condo-style layout.

Inside, guests will find a large master bedroom with a king bed and private bath, a separate living and dining area with two Murphy beds, and a fully equipped kitchen. The Kinsman Suites also includes a balcony, perfect for taking in the mountain air in any season. The décor combines rustic mountain charm with modern convenience, and guests enjoy direct access to the resort’s Viaggio Spa & Wellness Center, Black Diamond Pub, and pools — all under one roof.

It’s the ultimate suite for those who want space, comfort, and immediate proximity to Loon’s best amenities, however-the location is not ideal as it’s on the 9th floor west of the parking garage, so access to the lobby, restaurant and amenities is a bit less convenient.

#2 Grand Suite  (Sleeps 8)

Slightly smaller than the Kinsman but equally refined, the Grand Suite offers a comfortable and upscale retreat with all the same amenities — kitchen, dining and living space, and private balcony — in a more intimate layout. These suites are favored by families and groups that need accomodations for 7 or 8, more than the suites in the rest of the hotel, but less than the Kinsman Suite.

Guests staying in the Grand Suite enjoy the same ski-in/ski-out access, easy connection to the Viaggio Spa & Health Club, and close proximity to the Black Diamond Pub and resort lobby. Like the Kinsman, the Grand Suite captures the feel of a mountain lodge but with all the convenience of a modern resort — a favorite for those who want a touch of luxury alongside direct access to adventure.

After the Kinsman Suite and Grand Suites, all the other suites are primarily the same so it comes down to location.  The location will determine convenience and view.  After more than 35 years of coming to Loon and staying on nearly every floor, we’ve found that the 10th floor offers the perfect combination of access, comfort, and convenience. It’s directly connected to the main lobby, restaurant, pub, spa, pool, and fitness center — and it’s ski-in/ski-out, just steps from the base area and parking.  You’ll rarely take an elevator, you won’t have to walk through a dark (and sometimes frigid) parking lot to get to your room or the pool, and morning coffee and breakfast are right down the hall.

#3 – Suite 1025 (Riverside) Riverside Serenity with 180 Degree Mountain views

For guests who value peace, scenery, and year-round beauty, 1025 is among the most desirable rooms in the entire resort. Its balcony overlooks the Pemigewasset River and White Mountains, offering a sweeping panorama that changes with every season — vibrant foliage in autumn, snowcapped peaks in winter, and lush greenery all summer.

Unlike the slope-side rooms, the riverside suites stay calm and quiet even during peak ski weekends. You won’t hear grooming machines at night or trail noise during the day — just the view and the sound of the river below.  If you want peace and quiet, but still ski-in, ski-out and just steps from the lobby, restaurant and ameneties, 1025 is our top choice.

  • Wide mountain and river panorama

  • Morning light and quiet evenings

  • Steps from lobby, restaurant, and spa

  • Connected to club side 1027 for full suite

  • Convenient to lobby and elevators
  • Ski-in, ski-out just steps away

📞 When booking, request 1025 King Room or 1027 Club Room (or both1025/1027 for complete Suite-sleeps 6).

#4 – Suites 1026 (Slopeside) Slopeside Energy with Little Sister Views

Suite 1026 offers the slope-side experience overlooking the Little Sister (green) trail. During the winter season, this can be a great spot.  If you want to watch skiing, from your balcony, you can watch skiers and snowmaking in motion. And if you have family or friends that you want to keep track of, this is the spot to see them ski by (assuming they’re on the Brookway, Bearclaw or Little Sister slopes!).  For the rest of the year, your view will be the lush green of the Little Sister slope outside your window.

  • Direct view of the slope

  • Ski-in, ski-out just steps away

  • Convenient to lobby and elevators

  • Connected to club side 1028 for full suite

  • 📞 When booking, request 1026 King Room or 1028 Club Room (or both 1026/1028 for complete Suite-sleeps 6).

#5 – Suite 1029 (Riverside)

Just a few doors from the lobby, 1029 captures the same peaceful river and mountain view as 1025 but with slightly different view and just a bit farther from the lobby.  Still, It’s close enough for quick access.
📞 Request 1029  King Room or 1031 Club Room (or both 1029/1031 for complete Suite-sleeps 6).

#6 – Suite 1030 (Slopeside)

Facing the slopes across the hall from 1029, 1030 is great for families who want to be near the lifts but still away from the main lobby bustle. Excellent mid-floor positioning with an active view.
📞 Request 1030 King Room or 1032 Club Room (or both 1030/1032 for complete Suite-sleeps 6).

#7 – Suite 1033 (Riverside)

Situated near the center of the hallway, 1033 is similar to 1025 and 1029 just further from the lobby.
📞 Request 1033 King Room or 1035 Club Room (or both 1033/1035 for complete Suite-sleeps 6).

#8 – Suite 1034 (Slopeside)

A mirror opposite to 1033, 1034 offers slope side views. It’s a favorite among guests who want to stay near the action but still be within a short walk of the spa and restaurant.
📞 Request 1034 King Room or 1036 Club Room (or both 1034/1036 for complete Suite-sleeps 6).

#9 – Suite 1037 (Riverside)

Located toward the far end of the corridor, 1037 is similar to the other riverside units but at the very end of the corridor, near the locker hallway on the western end.  While there can be some noise in that area, it’s pretty rare that people congregate there.
📞 Request 1037 King Room or 1039 Club Room (or both 1037/1039 for complete Suite-sleeps 6).

#10– Suite 1038 (Slopeside)

Across from 1037, 1038 provides lively slope views but is the furthest slope side unit on floor 10 from lobby. A balanced choice for those who enjoy the mountain atmosphere.
📞 Request 1038 King Room or 1040 Club Room (or both 1038/1040 for complete Suite-sleeps 6)

#11 – Suite 1021 (Riverside)

The closest room to the lobby on the riverside. 1021 offers the quickest access to the restaurant and bar, but the wall of the master bedroom adjoins the lobby itself — meaning you might hear some late-night or early-morning activity. Still a great choice for convenience.
📞 Request 1021 King Room or 1023 Club Room (or both 1021/1023 for complete Suite-sleeps 6).

#12 – Suite 1022 (Slopeside)

Also immediately adjacent to the lobby, but on the slope side. Here, the living room wall borders the lobby area, which can bring some sound during peak hours. Excellent access and slope view, but less private than others on the floor.
📞 Request 1022 King Room or 1024 Club Room (or both 1022/1024 for complete Suite-sleeps 6).
